The project connects the outworn tanyards, which will be the new recreational and cultural focus, with the existing city center in the urban scale. In the neighborhood scale, the characteristic but homogeneous grid plan of the tanyard is heterogenized by introducing different functions through inserting landmark buildings and facilities to generate different scenarios that will attract different segments of community.
